FOUNDATIONAL HERBALÂ MEDICINE TRAINING +Â RETREAT
Join us in the Blue Ridge Mountains for a hands-on, heart-centered experience. This is more than a weekend training or a little getaway—it’s a chance to unplug, reconnect, and embody what you’ve learned.
You’ll make medicine with your hands, connect with the land, and be in circle with other plant people on the herbal path.

A 4-day immersive herbal experience + training with the plants.
Join us at Anahata Retreat Center in Floyd, Virginia—nestled on a plateau of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where wildflowers bloom, medicinal herbs grow freely, and a gentle river invites you to swim, kayak, and reconnect with the rhythms of the natural world.
This retreat isn’t about disconnecting from real life—it’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that know how to rest, care, create, and heal.
Surrounded by wild flora and cultivated gardens we’ll spend four days immersed in herbal practice—tasting, making, walking, learning, and dreaming with the plants.
You’ll be part of a small, intentional group of students, coming together to share in community care and skill-building rooted in earth-based wellness and collective transformation.Â
This is not a luxury escape or a wellness cliché. It’s an invitation to return to what matters:
-
The land
-
The plants
-
Your body
-
Your community
-
Your role as a steward, healer, and listener

Hi! I am Kristen, your retreat guide!
I’m an herbalist, educator, and community care practitioner, and I created this retreat as a space for reconnection—with the land, the plants, and the parts of ourselves that are ready to rest, grow, and root deeper.
Whether you’re brand new to herbalism or continuing your path, I’ll be here to guide you through the Foundations training with hands-on learning, daily rituals, and time in circle. My approach is practical, heart-centered, and rooted in the belief that herbalism belongs to all of us.
I believe in making medicine with our hands, in the wisdom of the plants that grow around us, and in the power of slowing down together. I can’t wait to welcome you to Anahata and walk this path with you.
Let’s grow something beautiful together.
🧡 Kristen
